2021-22 Panini Recon Basketball brings the colorful brand back for a sophomore season as a standalone release. The release has a lot of big designs and a variety of parallels and inserts to chase. Hobby boxes have 20 such chase cards plus a pair of autographs.


2021-22 Panini Recon Basketball Checklist Overview


Recon brings with a geometric design that’s modern and anything but subtle. Pinks, purples and blues are the dominant colors, mixing with a foil backdrop.

Featuring a checklist with both rookies and veterans, parallels include:

New for 2021-22 are Holo Dots. Like Revolution’s Galactic parallels, these aren’t numbered but they are tough short prints.





Although not exclusively first-year focused, many of Recon’s autographs do revolve around the season’s draft class. These include both Rookie Recon Signatures and Rookie Jersey Autographs.







Draft Night Acetate Signatures are also on the checklist.

Recon made its basketball debut as its own release in 2020-21. Prior to that, it was part of the anthology Panini Chronicles.
